The Autumn Offering – The Autumn Offering

Releasedate: 31-08-2010; Label: Victory
By: Nina Mende

The Autumn Offering is an American metalcore band that formed in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1999. After achieving some degree of local success, the band was signed to Stillborn Records, founded by Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, in 2003. The band released one album through this label. The Autumn Offering later signed to Victory Records in 2005, and subsequently released three studio albums, with a fourth being released now which is called “The Autumn Offering”, so a self titled album.

Distorted lyrics, noise and creepy screaming is what The Autumn Offering bring to your ears. Eleven songs full of metal core, sped up with a double kick on the bass drum, hammering on the guitar playing and loud screaming vocals. This music is perfect for a moshpit at heavy metal parties and concerts. Definitely not for an evening on the couch though. You have to move to this kind of music, and not in a moderate dancing style but with aggressive motions and with lots of head banging. I f you want a moshpit going, play one of the songs of the self titled album of The Autumn Offering. The cover pretty much gives you a perfect impression of what to expect of the music. Metal heads: Beware!
