Since the beginning of the Machine Age mankind has lived harmoniously with technology. Until one day in August of 2003 a bunch of robots from outer space came to Earth and screwed that all up. In January 2004 a team of specialist chosen for their high level of skill at doing a bunch of cool things set off to do battle with The Robot Brains from Planet Zero. So far, so good. But the battle rages on, and the members of the team known only as “DEFENCE MECHANISM” continue to risk life and limb, and make cool music, to keep these insane interplanetary robots from completely destroying the planet Earth. Exciting! Stay tuned to your regular channels for further information as it develops.
The intro of the album sounds a little bit like Ghostbusters. The music of Defense Mechanism reminds of 80s electro. All fourteen tracks have a great sense of old school sounding electro. Yet again the album is also a little bit spacey. With being called “Invasion Of The Robot Brains From Planet Zero” it would be weird to not sound a little bit like coming from outer space. The layout of the booklet is just as interesting as the music. It all reminds more of a comic strip including soundtrack rather than an electro act.
