German formation The Blue Poets is a band that makes Bluesy Rock songs. With their brand new album “All It Takes” they are now seeking to tour through Europe. It is available now.

First thing that comes to notice when listening to this release is the extensive riffing in this release. Hendrix? Nope, it is Marcus Deml who plays these melodic parts for you. But what makes that this album is not an album by a guitarist that had some support along but instead the album it really is, is the vehemence that comes in with the drums and the bass. It is easy to lose all focus to such an outstanding element but without the backing the band is giving it would not be as strong as it is.

With a wink to classics like led Zeppelin and living colour the band is finding their own path as well. The band leans heavily on creating dreamy atmospheres the listener can get captivated by. The melodic parts are giving the album something that makes it easy to listen to while there is so much to hear. You won’t get away with only a few spins here, the album grows on you as you keep hearing more at every turn you give it.

Well worth the money, it will give you plenty hours of listening pleasure. As the guys are rolling out this release, it is probably a great teaser for their live shows, because it does make one wonder how they bring this all live. One to remember
