Fischer-z – Swimming in Thunderstorms

Label: So Real
Releasedate:
13-09-2019

John Watts and his Fischer-Z are well known names. Being around for many years there are quite many releases out already, but the hunger for releasing something new is never fading. “Swimming In Thunderstorms” is created and released this month.

As you are familiar with this artist you may not be surprised to hear another collection of songs that are taken from the world. Inspiration from life and all that it contains. Sometimes political, sometimes a story from the news, sometimes infected with love. A wide variety. But what connects all these is the wat John brings it. Straight from the heart and with a bit dreamy surrounding, never failing to say it as it is. That makes Fischer-Z what it is and with this release it is exactly that you are getting again. Starting with “Big Wide World” you feel like you are taken back many years ago. Melody wise it could be close to wave hits of Sisters of Mercy in a Fischer-Z coating. Halfway the album you are listening to “No Bohemia” quite a breaking int he album. It is very dramatic and with the arrangements carefully chosen it is a song that you easily listen to.

Fischer-Z would not really let the fans down, after all these years you can expect an album of quality and it won’t be a surprise that this is exactly what you get with “Swimming In Thunderstorms”. A great one for your collection.
