JOHN DIVA & THE ROCKETS OF LOVE – Mama Said Rock Is Dead

Label: SPV/Steamhammer
Releasedate:
08 February 2019

John Diva is kind of people you’ve never seen but already known their work. He was involved in the life of true hair metal legends as Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. You’ll ask how. Well, he is co-author of “You give love a bad name”, “Pour some sugar on me” and others. Since 2013 Diva played as himself: creator of catchy songs for “John Diva & Rockets of Love”. “Mama said rock is dead” is out at 8th of February.

There are 12 tracks on the record. Started with sound of whiplash and ended with track about rocket of love (literally). Then Californian vibes in every accord, every accent in “Lolita” made you smile and dreaming of the white sand and blue waves. Couple of ballads can melt couple of hearts. Most catching “Rock n’ roll heaven” and “Just a night away”. Also “Fire eyes” is worthy to be heard for its power and glaze. And Toxic is trendy as a word of year 2018, drama on its best.

Through the strange word of total tolerance, it’s decent oasis of irony and 80s stereotypes: men in tights with deviant behavior, frivolous girls with long legs and much of love in any kind of epithets. Don’t be so serious. And, damn, rock n’ roll isn’t dead.
