Swedish all female quartet “Browsing collection” released their six tracks EP “Don’t want to dance” this October. Decade of band’s existence brought full-length album in 2015 titled “Greetings from Wonderland” and several EPs.
Sometimes music provides fashion, sometimes vice versa. Nowadays, all female rock band is a challenge. No politics, no social approval, just music. And pretty damn good music. “Browsing collection” are not warriors like “Girlschool”, not power-girls like “Barbe-Q-Barbies” and not sk8ters girl like Avril Lavigne. They are combination of all.
Ok, now you can listening to well-mastered material. Six different tracks packed in one bowl “Don’t want to dance”. From opening track “One time a year” that can throw windows by rock (both of stone and rock genre). Solid, catchy, so eighties. This atmosphere provides to the next two tracks and then tempo slammed down. “Oh, Sweet Sire” is tracks that you definitely must listen, it’s authentic and emotional, melodic and touching. Refrain with a little pause before it is just pleasure for earplugs. “Thank God It’s Friday” is so typical for any kind of rock’n’roll bands. Weekends for the workers, Fridays for the parties. The very first chords of track and you’ll decide to dance. No doubts. Prepare your dancing shoes.
After all, some like it hot. With “Don’t want to dance” EP you’ll be satisfied.
