Florian Grey – Ritus

[schema type=”review” name=”Florian Grey – Ritus” description=”Label: Echozone” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2018-05-18″ ]
Florian Grey took his first musical steps quite early in bands, but also during a vocal education.
He could develop his vocal abilities steadily as a studio singer and by guest appearances with various bands. Florian Grey’s musical roots are in rock / gothic rock with a proper dose of pop. Anno 2018 he comes with the album “Ritus”, which follow the 2015 debut “Gone”.

Looking back at that first release and what we have in hands now, you can safely say that Florian Grey has eveloved quite a bit. Now with a full band, going a bit heavier and more raw than before this album is definitely one with some more bite to it.
What stuck around is the passionate way of bringing these stories into the song. Listen to “Glimmer (Save Me)” and you will very close to the artist at some point. Florian Grey makes it personal even if it is not immediately relevant in your life. A versatile touch that comes in handy as people that likes different genres will feel attached with this music easily. Building bridges we would say.
Later in the tracklist you will come across the song “Blood In A Shell” which keeps the energy into it until the end.

Overall Florian Grey delivered an album that advanced from it precedessor. The sound is more complete and while venting into different genre’s the album became quite accessible to a wide audience. Nice one!
