Thirty Seconds to Mars is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1998. The band consists of Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), Shannon Leto (drums, percussion) and Tomo Miličević (lead guitar, bass, violin, keyboards, other instruments). Since then the band has not only grown a huge fanbase all over the world, but also played a lot of shows across the globe. It has been a while since their last album, but this is their fifth full length studio album, finally.

This brand new album is called “America” and is only a small piece of a bigger image. Of a bigger concept, so to speak. Thirty Seconds To Mars are focusing on what makes America America, and what is there to be proud of. Later this year the band will also release a documentary about this topic. But for now, we have this album. With a million different covers – or rather combinations of words on the bright yellow cover. “America” comes with twelve songs including the hit single “Walk On Water”. Thirty Seconds To Mars have included quite some instrumentals on this album, but it is just as catchy, wide in sound and deep in emotions as we know it from the guys. For this album, the band has asked some artists to contribute, though, and the outcome is brilliant.
