Something is stirring in the lysergic spectral swamps of supernatural Detroit. That legendary city’s significance in the evolution of wild and heavy music through the ages is beyond dispute, but there is always room for another revolution. Purveyors of a uniquely vibrant strain of balls-out psychedelic turbo-rock, Octopus are about to blow open the doors of perception and invite everyone in for a party. Formed in 2008 by guitarist J Frezzato (ex-Electric Six) and vocalist Masha Marjieh, this ten-legged groove machine began as the channeling of a nocturnal hallucination…
This is the brand new album by Octopus and it is called “Supernatural Alliance”. This release comes with ten songs. Octopus has used an interesting arrangement for the songs: The vocals seem to be fading into the background, while the musical compositions are in the main focus. The distorted sounds are mixed with electronic tunes and give the music a touch of futuristic sounds with a hint of 80s rock music. Each song is quite simple and the vocals are guiding you through the album.
Octopus has a new album out. “Supernatural Alliance” is the name of this release. It is nothing extraordinary but it does have some charm. So give it a try and listen to it now.
