Radio Havanna is a German speaking punk rock band. Since the band was founded in 2002, a lot has happened. The band has toured with all sorts of bands, small and big, and they have released six albums with their latest being called “Utopia”.
“Utopia” is filled with raw punk rock songs. Twelve of them. The rough vocals are combined with harsh rhythms. All fast, thriving and loud. The lyrics are political and straight forward. The choruses sound like paroles. Paroles you are supposed to shout along to. And they are catchy enough that you will soon find yourself not only nodding along to them, but humming and even singing. Although all songs are rough with a rhythm that will easily get you going along, some songs are a little calmer. “Houston” for example is such a song. But, it get’s slightly faster throughout the song and does not end as slow as it began.
“Utopia” is the name of the brand new album by the Germany of Radio Havanna. It is a political one, an edgy one. All lyrics are in German and are very straight forward. If you love this kind of music, then this album is a must have for you. So go ahead and check it out.
