[schema type=”review” name=”Electric Eye – From the Poisonous Tree” description=”Label: Pias” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2017-11-03″ ]Electric Eye is a Psychedellic Rock band from Norway. The guys are releasing their third full length album “From the Poisonous Tree” right now.
The band has an interesting idea of their sound. It’s that typical 70’s feel but brought in a modern look. The band gives it a approach that feels very much of 2017. Also, their sound appears to be quite open and with a feel for other genres they will attract a wilde range of audience. The guys are building up their songs with a bit of patience. They don’t rush to anything and sometimes it takes quite a bit before you feel where it is going to but luckily they are good in entertaining you on the road there as well. It never gets boring.
The album is one of those that flows well. It can be used for listening with care but as well as some background music. It has all the options and diversity. But if you think of whether it is really adding something new to your collection, maybe not so much. However the quality is well so it serves purpose nevertheless. It will not shock your world, but suits in a collection of psychedellic music to add a bit modern touch to it.
