The show of Ranger at Tuska 2014 is still in our mind and now the Speed Metalband drop sus an album. Who are we not to look at that? “Speed and Violence” is out now.
Just as we know these guys this “Speed and Violence” album is giving us a classic sound, Cliché maybe, but with a bit of 2016 flair into that they managed to give it just a little bit of a twist even if it is just a minor detail. The guys rage on, Speed is not exaggerated, the band keeps going and they seem to take no place to rest. Vocals are quite upfront where sometimes you may wanted a bit more of the guitars to take that spotlight but in the big picture you will forget about that soon.
At the end you could argue that this is something you have heard before, but bands they felt inspired by are not making them life that anymore. Some when you are into this, and album like this could surely be something you greatly enjoy. Let’s not get over the fact that the guys have plenty of skills that they are showing and you can only imagine what happens when they step away from this and bring something of their own, but Ranger is just not meant to do that. It is meant to keep it alive, seeing the audience at their shows, they surely get a new generation into this kind of music and “Speed and Violence” is another record to keep doing that.
