The Finnish legends Amorphis are currently on tour for the promotion of their latest record “Under The Red Cloud”. The band has already toured with some big names like Nightwish and Arch Enemy last year but this time, they are headlining and so it wasn’t a surprise to see so many loyal Amorphis fans on the first day of the tour!

The band started the first day of the tour with the first song from “Under The Red Cloud”, which carries the same name with the album title. Just like the first time I listened to the latest record, the band sounded so refreshing and I could see that they are also somehow happy with the overall result of the album. With each song, the band has managed to get everyone to headbang or sing louder so the overall atmosphere escalated quite slowly but strongly for sure! I also gotta say that the overall stage design (the UTRC theme) definitely added another color to the event!

There were some special moments and highlights… Apart from the ‘golden oldies’ that the band played, the audience had the honor to hear the song “Drowned Maid” live with the original singer, Tomi Koivusaari, who is also the guitarist and the co-founder of the band! It was such a special moment to hear this song from the original singer! The band also played “Dark Path” (from UTRC) for the FIRST time on tour and they nailed it!

A great night filled with the new and refreshing as well as the old and the classics from Amorphis! This was definitely an unforgettable night for the audience as well as for the band!
