If you want to be in a world where the music takes you a very dreamy journey to the old Scandinavian way of understanding the life, Forndom’s new album has the best tickets! After an EP on June 2015, a very talented multi-insturmental artist L. Swärd released his first album on January 2016 under the name of Nordvis label.

Forndom’s music includes Scandinavian atmosphere inspired by norse religion, folklore and nature. Album only has 7 songs but these 7 songs are enough to go to the worlds beyond us because every song has very powerful, dark and beautiful combination of nature and mythology. Songs do not let listener to forget the ancient days of Scandinavia when people lived in harmony with nature.

Although the album’s name is “The Doors of Death” in English, I personally do not think that album takes us to the doors of death but to the doors of immortal traditions and beliefs of Scandinavia. Especially the song “Resan” feels like home where you can stay in connection with the nature through traditional melodies.

People say music has a power of gathering people under the same flag. However, Forndom’s music has much powerful impact on listeners which can connect them to the nature where their true-self belongs. Listeners have such limited number of bands for this kind of magical music genre. Especially, big Wardruna fans will love Forndom and their world. It is a great start with an amazing album and let’s hope Swärd feeds our soul more with upcoming albums!
