Sacrament is a Russian, female fronted formation that has been around since 2005. The band releases their album “Supernova” now.
The album is an English version, before it got out in 2014 and was in Russian. The band is now ready to make some international steps. Whether it comes that the album is redone is hard to say but it does not always seem to hit the max. A bit of Amaranthe, some All Ends end up in very catchy tunes for the band, but what lacks is a moment for them to shine. Will they create a very intimate moment on a future release? It would help them to step away from being the band that has been around so many times already and come closer to be the band that connects with the listener. The ideas they have with their songs should be more refined and elaborated, create a little more contrast with it to stand out a bit more.
“Supernova” as an album appears to be a bit too flat. They band does have enough to make more out of it, but we have a hesitation to get it down completely as this was originally released as a Russian album. Will they keep it directed at an international market and can they go a bit deeper to set themselves apart from the masses, we will see.
