Scarleth is a female fronted metal band from the Ukraine. The band was founded in 2005. In the past ten years they have been playing shows and released two full length studio albums, playing festivals and steadily growing a fan base. Now the Ukrainian band has released a brand new album. Going by the name of “The Silver Lining”, Scarleth is back to impress you.

“The Silver Lining” is a strong album that lasts for fifty-one minutes. The strong and sharp female vocals are backed up by a male shouter. The guitars wander from shredding to melodic playing. The drums set a fast and heavy pace. The piano in the background adds some dreamy spirit and fantasy into the harshness of the arrangements. Some songs also include other orchestra samples. Like a dark fairytale “The Silver Lining” blasts at you in these nine songs.

If this is what typical Ukrainian metal sounds like, there should be far more metal bands from Ukraine.
