Dutch Metal artist Mories is known for not only Gnaw Their Tongues, but also varies other projects. For about 10 years this was only a studio project but earlier this year some first live performances were to enjoy. A whole lot of EP’s are on his name and also full lengths are plenty to be found. “Abyss Of Longing Throats” is album number eighth and it is out now.

Gnaw Their Tongues always come with chaos, hysteria, anxiety, evil and darkness. These words are not any different for “Abyss Of Longing Throats”. Yet, there are some surprises to be found in here also. Some different sounds sometimes give it that slight bit of melancholy that it could have the contrast that comes with that is rather stunning. Some string sounds in the background if you listen carefully, some tempo’s that calm down and have a lighter touch make you feel a bit enlightened from the doom that in there, but keep up your guard. It is still Gnaw Your Tongues and where you feel the atmosphere to be a black (light edition), you must have fell into the trap. The dark hand of evil comes up from below, grabs you and pulls you back down again. No, you could have seen it coming!

“Abyss Of Longing Throats” is a typical one of Mories his hands. You know it is good, fear the day it is on your player!
