Mors Subita is a Finnish formation making Melodic Death Metal. The group has been formed in 1999 but until 2011 they never released any album. Anno 2015 the band is releasing their second full length album, “Degeneration” is out now.
The band has an aggressive approach and they let you know right away. No album for the weak soul, it says melodic and it is absolutely there, but the guys are never giving in on the vehemence of their sound. The guys choose their structures wisely, it has a familiar sound but they are not afraid to change things in their advance. A well placed riff here, some extra attention for the drums whenever needed, there is always something upfront. That does not really leave you with any time to catch up so it is a release you listen to with care and attention.
The flow is in it, the songs are in one line and as a whole the album is one that comes as a one-piece. A strong release that people strongly believe in as the band is scheduled for a performance at the Tuska Open Air festival. We hope the band can show us a just as energetic and passionate performance as this release is giving us. Certainly a teaser for their show.
