Senses Fail and Man Overboard decided to team up on releasing a split.
Man Overboard is a band with a more catchy take than Senses Fail. So while listening to their addition to this release you get into an easy start. The guys are having a good way of presenting their lyrics. It’s words may apply to a wide audience and with the fact that these songs stick in mind easily they probably gather a young crowd with a whole lot of energy at their live concerts.
Senses Fail is giving some more weight to the split. Their riffing seems a bit more elaborated, with the stress onto the individual but not getting the whole out of sight. The aggression that comes with the guys makes that where you with Man Overboard could simply nod your head along, with them you may be up for some more serious headbanging.
Both bands covered a song of eachother which shows that they have not been a random puttogether by a label or enthusiastic, but it was a well thought release. Fans of the one will find the other and perhaps a bridge to the other side is made. Releases like this will expand your collection for sure.
