American Rock band Fashion Week is formed in 1987. The band got themselves a name in the Noise scene but when one of their founders passed away in 1994 things went quiet. Some releases were issued and this year a release comes out called “Prêt-à-Porter”.
Post rockwith a little more aggression, that’s what the guys are up for and that sparkling energy within them proves to be a key element in the Fashion Week experience. We go from clean vocals to screams and back, bringing loads of texture to their sound, keeping the whole at an intensive energy level that you cannot lose your attention to. You are in it and can’t escape the captivation sound that the band put down.
A fresh sound that you may not come around too often, the band competes with the ongoing stream of releases of this genre that comes to us lately and manage to stick out with this release being varied. The energy within them is balanced and each member has its time to shine without losing the whole picture out of sight.
The theme of the fashion the guys take may wonder many, but music and fashion have been closer than one would realize and the humoristic look the guys have with it can serve even the most unfashionable metal head in existence. In the end, it is about the music and that is already enough to entertain us all, but the theme is certainly a bonus.
