Toundra – IV

Releasedate: 26-01-2015; Label: Superball Music
By: Nina Mende

Toundra is a band from Madrid, Spain which was founded in 2007. They describe their music as instrumental post rock. This is their fourth album and is also called “IV”.

Even though “IV” is a purely instrumental album, there is a concept behind it. It tells the story of two foxes that need to escape from the forest where they live because of a huge fire. For the band this is a metaphor for their concern with how humanity is destroying the environment and how dangerous humans can be. They present these concerns to you in eight tracks. With a total album duration of merely fifty-two minutes these eight tracks stretch. The songs draw pictures and bring them to life, creating stories in your head, changing along with your personal situation and mood. Impressive music that sure does not lack of lyrics and vocals.

This music by Tundra can blend in perfectly well with your background while listening to it. But you can also give this album your fullest attention. It is up to you. And both works just fine. “IV” definitely deserves your fullest attention for at least one time listening to it. So go ahead and try something new. Tundra has their new album “IV” out now and waiting for you.
