Civilian is a formation from Belgium making HardRock/ Metal. In 2012 the band released “Wake Up Call” and now returns with a second full length album. “The Second” is out now.
The guys have a hard rock approach and with some strong vocals they put a bit of aggression into it here and there. Spicing it up just a little more, creating that thorn that stings you when grabbing the rose. The tracks on the album are diverse. Perhaps you hear some influences from the past, but the band keeps their own identity upfront and switches flawlessly from a riff in the spotlight to a moment where the vocals are telling you the statements the band want to push out.
“Love In The Moshpit” they shout out loud at one point bringing the album much into a link with a live performance. The energy comes out well and also in other songs in the release the band has no problem showing their energetic self.
As a small remark to make, at the end of the track list you are quite done with the repeats in the lyrics, there is no need to endlessly repeat. But that is that and furthermore the album is one that flows easily. A good release bringing us in the mood for the festivals.
