Bloodgod is a Hard Rock formation that is seen as a side project of mr. Debauchery aka Thomas Gurrath. Perhaps you would find a lot of similarities between the two but perhaps with this project the band can be found more into the Hard Rock corner. More expressive in any way. This year a brand new Blood God release comes on the market, “Blood Is My Trademark” is out now.
Hard Rock it is and perhaps it is not really too much different from what others are doing, nor do they musically stick out that much. Happy feel good music always works with the crowd and if you hear ‘We make sexy music for sexy people’ played in front of you, you can’t hardly feel wrong with that. Although the band has the album filled with easy-to-catch-on with songs, it does not really have one track that stands out as one that you remember the band from. Yes, the tracks all work well but simply don’t expect that there is something really new in there.
As a bonus you get all the songs again, this time provided with different vocals, perhaps more Debauchery style. It’s fun that they play around with the two projects and bring them together like this and that makes the whole entertaining and worth to give a try. Basically if you are a debauchery fan and think Bloodgod is not Heavy enough, these bonus tracks will maybe make you feel more engaged with their music. “Blood Is My Trademark” gives something for all you could say.
