Releasedate: 2014; Label: Echozone/Rockborn

Gothic Moods is a collection album of Echozone. A double one to be exact. Two discs full of a wild variety of what Echozone’s artists have to offer in combination with the artists on Rockborn Records.
We start off with a track by The Mission, a gothic rock formation that has almost 30 years on the counter and gives us an impressive start on this collector. Besides the names of those artists we all known from the albums they brought out recently, Like Liquid Grey, Hertzparasit and Krankheit there are also some other names to be found.
Songs of acts like Leaves’ eyes, Umbra et Imago, In Strict Confidence which we encounter each year at festivals like Amphi for example. They give the whole some flare, but the rawer edges that can be found in the more metal influenced artists surely gives a bit of break to it.
For us as reviewers there are not really a lot of surprises to be found in the release as most of these albums have passed by and many of the acts have been seen at least once before but for those who like to get some names in the genre can find a lot of great acts in here.
