Black Bottle Riot – Black Bottle Riot

Releasedate: 11-11-2011; Label: Suburban Records

Black Bottle Riot is a Dutch band that released the first self-titled album this fall.

Guess what about all the song singing about? Right, in statistic it’s “fifty/fifty” about “breaking up” and “partying hard”. The band mixed these themes and added some music sounds like experience of imitating skilled and hardworking musicians. The band points “Lynyrd Skynyrd”, “The Allman Brothers” and “Black Sabbath” as the bands much influenced them.

“Black Bottle Riot” includes 11 tracks. If those track were movies then how it supposed to be. The opening track “Bright Light City” could be action movie about street racing with flashing cars and pretty cheerleaders screaming “Whirrr the gearrr!”. The first chords of “In the balance” is prove of being the western one. Sound reminds gramophone tune that singing and playing in the wooden bars in the past centure. Classy “wide notes” and harmonica. The most interesting track for my own “Exit Spoiler” could be psychological thriller. The main hero screaming in the dark “you’re gonna miss me” and warning music gets your blood cold. The ballad “You should know” supposes to be the drama. Decorated with pompous chandeliers in the wide halls. And, sure, people hide behind the masks.

Pity, there is something wrong with the album. Perhaps that’s only the parody of the good thing.
