Today we can announce a total amount of 17 new names for the world’s biggest indoor hardcore punk festival The Sound Of Revolution! And besides that, we are also very proud that due to the huge success of the first two editions and the large amount of people travelling from all over the world, we added a few extra festival hours to the festival on Friday evening November 2nd. For this evening we have already confirmed no one less than Life Of Agony, Propagandhi, Street Dogs, Beowülf and Deathtrap out of the 6 bands that will play this day. One more band for November 2nd will be added soon. For the line-up of Saturday November 3rd we can announce 12 new names: Suicidal Tendencies, Agnostic Front, Comeback Kid, Earth Crisis, Underdog, Brutality Will Prevail, Sworn Enemy, Trail Of Lies, Regulate, Toxic Shock, St. Hood and Topnovil. Gorilla Biscuits, Perkele, GBH, The Templars, No Turning Back, Shipwrecked and Mushmouth were already announced for the festival.
Because Friday November 2nd now also belongs to the festival, we decided to add a limited amount of combi tickets for The Sound Of Revolution 2018. So now there are 3 different (pre sale) tickets available for The Sound Of Revolution 2018: Friday tickets (€ 20), Saturday tickets (€ 35) and limited Combi tickets (€ 50). Service costs are not included in the price. The ticket sales (for the new tickets) has just started and the Early Bird tickets are completely sold out. Festival director Martijn van den Heuvel about the new band names: “What is The Sound Of Revolution without some of the classic hardcore bands that have shaped the scene as it is nowadays? Besides Gorilla Biscuits and GBH, also Suicidal Tendencies, Life Of Agony, Agnostic Front, Propagandhi, Earth Crisis, Beowülf and Underdog are all part of this history and we are happy that these bands are on the line-up of this years edition of our festival. Beowülf, Earth Crisis and Underdog are exclusively flying over for The Sound Of Revolution.” Just like previous editions of The Sound Of Revolution there are a lot of bands that Martijn and No Turning Back are long time befriend with such as Comeback Kid, Brutality Will Prevail, Sworn Enemy, St.Hood, Deathtrap and Toxic Shock. “Comeback Kid are also flying in for our festival only. I love Andrew and the boys, I can’t wait to see them destroy the True Spirit stage. Also I’m super happy to have my old friends in Sworn Enemy playing their classic debut album ’As Real As It Gets’ which was released 15 years ago. Talking about 15 years: St.Hood from Finland are celebrating their 15th anniversary too”, van den Heuvel says. Trail Of Lies and Regulate are two young bands out of the United States of America that are releasing new records this year and are presenting them at the festival. And last but not least we also have the first Australian band at TSOR: Topnovil.”
Van den Heuvel: “I’m so happy that we are able to add the extra evening due to the success of the previous editions. It was a big puzzle to get a good mix of bands for Friday November 2nd, but I think we have succeeded. Just as the regular festival day it is a mix of hardcore and punk. Where are you able to find these bands playing together for only 20 euro? Only at The Sound Of Revolution!”
