The Donots is a rock band from Germany, formed in 1993 in Ibbenbüren. The Donots released their third album and first major label release “Better Days Not Included” in 1999, produced by Die Ärzte producer Uwe Hoffmann, together with their first single “Outshine the World”, which received minor radio and TV airplay. They went on to play their first co-headlining tour called “Ladies First, James Last” across Germany, Austria, Italy and the Netherlands, together with fellow German punk rock peers the Beatsteaks. A lot has happened since then. Now, the band has a brand new album out, which is called “Lauter als Bomben”.
Now, this brand new album comes with thirteen songs. Each one is loud and rough. Filled with passion and joy. The music is edgy and true. Donots sing about life as it is. Just as the band sees it. The style varies between punk and rock and the rhythms will definitely get you moving along. Each of the thirteen songs has its own character, touching you in its own unique way. “Lauter als Bomben” is an album that is spreading good vibes and positivity, despite the sometimes sad and harsh lyrics. All lyrics are in German. But Donots made sure that the arrangements of the rhythms and melodies will get the story across just as clear.
Turn up the volume and make some room. Donots has a new album out. “Lauter als Bomben” will get you going along for sure. Somewhere between punk and rock you will love this album and relate to it. So check it out now.
