[schema type=”review” name=”Bjøro Håland – Tracks” description=”Label: Pias/Grappa” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2018-01-19″ ]Bjøro Håland is country musician from Norway which has gathered quite some fame in his homecountry Norway. He has been active in the musicscene for quite some years, his debutalbum got onto the market in 1970. In 2018 the man comes with his latest release which is called “Tracks”.
Maybe it is not the purest country in the word. Crooner Pop is also part of the music this man makes. This release brings us a bunch of covers as well as some material of the man himself. Maybe for our audience not all the songs ring a bell, which is maybe why this man can give you a comfortable introduction to the songs made by these songwriters. More familiar is perhaps the song “Take These Chains From My Chains From My Heart” which has also been performed by Ray Charles. Here and there a collaboration is taking place, some backing vocals are introduced also to give the whole some extra dynamic.
If you are looking to the man his own work you find that he does not do under for the other songs at all. With many years of experience and many songs in his discography it is likely he will be covered himself.
“Tracks” is an album full of songs that are perhaps not the most familiar to our readers, but for those who enjoy a wide range in their music collection, this album is well worth to consider.
