The band founded in 2008 and is now releasing their second full length album called: “The Illuminated Sky”.
When listening to the music and reading the reference to Dream Theater I must say that it makes sence, the band is really going after that atmosphere. A story telling approach, the music is quite bombastic. They have putten quite some time in getting all the arrangements there. In songs like “In The Shadows Of The Earth “ the band gives time to individual bandmembers to get some shine and show of their skills but overall they kept the ego thing in modesty. It is benefitting to the cause so to say.
Here and there the whole get’s a bit too long and similar for one who isnt fully into this music, playing right at the edge at the variety levels but int he end they created an album that you will listen to the end without problems. What the band is really good at, is showing their skills. You know instantly that the guys will be able to do much more even that came out here, without doing this one injustice. The modesty they have to keep it onboard and not go straying towards a technical arrogance suits them and surely adds some extra to the listening experience.
“The Illuminated Sky” is a promising release, the band made an album that sounds well-thought and well-composed. It makes us curious how this would sound live!
