Leaves’ Eyes is a German symphonic metal band from Stavanger, Norway and Ludwigsburg, Germany. They were formed in 2003 by Liv Kristine, the former lead singer of Theatre of Tragedy and the entire line-up of Atrocity. To date, the band has released six studio albums, a single, six EPs, one live album and a DVD. This is their brand new EP “Fires In The North”. This EP is with the new singer Elina Siirala.

The EP comes with four songs and one acoustic version of “Fires In The North”. “Fires In The North” is a catchy symphonic metal song. Just like we would expect a song from Leaves’ Eyes to be. The acoustic version puts some more focus on Elina’s voice than the regular version. “Edge Of Steel” is a catchy song that will get you going along. So is “Sacred Vow”. “Swords In Rock” has a medieval touch. All songs are catchy and come with amazing arrangements. The voice of the singer Elina is impressive as fans expected that for a new singer that would replace Liv Kristine. The choruses of each song is easy to sing or hum along, so are the melodies.

This release by Leaves’ Eyes is only an EP with four different tracks. But “Fires In The North” will shorten you the wait until the new album is out. So go ahead and check it out. You will definitely like what you can find on this release.
