Dominanz – Noxious

[schema type=”review” name=”Dominanz – Noxious” description=”Label: Fastball Music” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2016-04-15″ ]Dominanz is a Norwegian Industrial Metal band. The came with their debut full length called: “As I Shine” in 2011 and now returns with “Noxious”.

As the first album was promoted for its Industrial Metal influences, the band now stepped to a different label. Extreme music, with a whole lot of Black in it. To highlight that the band have included some guests in this release. No one less than the mighty Abbath has its vocals into the album. Also Olav Iversen of Sagh makes an appearance. The band have certainly found some more direction compared to the previous release which was such a blend of many different things.

The album has been released already before but since it was sold out it was time for a re-release on a more international scale and it surely deserves that. The band has a whole lot of evil to put out there and it comes with a decent quality. The vocals are quite upfront in the music and yet there is enough time to let the rest shine as well.

So this second release of Dominanz is giving us some music that is less of an experiment, it reigns strength and direction which makes it pleasant to listen to. Here and there the band could elaborate a bit more but “Noxious” is an album that is a huge leap forward for the band, so if they keep going like that they have the potential to become a big one.
