Italian Doom formation The Foreshadowing started back in 2005. In 2007 the band came with their debut album that placed the band on the map. In 2016 the band is ready to release their fourth full length album called “Seven Heads, Ten Horns”.

This release is slightly different than what the band gave us earlier, that is be said, but you must remember that the guys have gave us such great releases before that you don’t even have to worry too much about it. So even our good faith in another great album in line was proven to be justified the first moment we heard it. It’s melodic and relevant. From the start it starts building and your dragged into their world. Here and there you find a reference to what they did on earlier albums, listen to the beginnings of “New Babylon” and the connection is clear, but with a bit darker feel to all, heavier and perhaps a bit more harsh and sharp in the words the band brings their point across.

The tempo seem to flow a bit easier also which would make the songs in this album a good one for a live show where many new listeners have to be impressed. Most dramatic song in the album is “Martyrdom” which seem to have worldly influence. It reaches deep and hits your feelings. An amazing song that summarizes the whole album. After that one we have another fourteen minutes to listen to the final track. “Nimrod” is lighter and a bit more dynamic, a song that is a story on its own and yet one that concludes the album nicely.

Sure, we were not in doubt that we would like the album, but that is a dangerous way to feel about a band, because you could turn out utterly disappointed. The Foreshadowing does not disappoint ever and they prove that once again with “Seven Heads, Ten Horns”, one that could be one of the bests of the year!
