The Swedish band Throne of Heresy formed in 2009. The guys make Death Metal and are currently releasing their second album called “Antioch”.
Death with a black edge from Sweden, often the factors that draw attention to the band already for those factors alone, but with Throne of Heresy there is much more to find that should draw one’s attention. The band provides us with a solid sound, refined to a strong idea of what they want to present. Songs that shine confidence are to be found here and it makes the album pleasant. All justified, must be said. There are some good riffs to be found, these are surely getting highlighted by the place they get in their sound. Some time to let them shine and not going up in the rest of the band too much.
The vocals are putting a nice frame around the work of the band, they come together quite well and if you look at their sound as a whole you see that they have taken the time to work with all the detail to refine their sound and even give it a twist of their own.
Throne of Heresy delivers a fine release which has the vehemence and elaboration that keep you listening. “Antioch” is a release that stands out above the average.
