Nameless Day Ritual – Birth

Bulgarian Metal formation Nameless Day Ritual are a rather new name, but the members have come from band of various genres, blending their sound together into this Metal Fusion project. Their album is called, “Birth”.

When receiving an enormous amount of promo’s it is always a challenge to choose these promo’s that give you something really interesting. A quick listen on an online account, or the description given is often THE thing that must attract you and this band drew my attention in about 15 seconds of a video.
What speaks to me is the bands use of the contrast between the sweet, clean vocals of vocalist Asya and the raw explosive sound that also comes with this band. A contrast that we remember seeing clearly in Kilt.’s “Everything/Nothing” or the Norwegian Djerv. They prove to be a winning factor and also Nameless Day Ritual has gold in their hands.

The six tracks they give us are all intensive, a deep and complex structure that plays with your feelings and drags you into their sound. The opener “Far Out” starts with a rather long introduction, to burst out into an energetic wall of sound that opens a world of passion for you.
Most remarkable is the song “I” that carries a lot of power and has perhaps the largest contrast, the catchiness is there but you, at the same time, feel that there is so much persona in it. It comes from within and feels like you get an introduction to their deepest thoughts and dreams.

We can tell you much more about the greatness of this release, but it makes more sense to experience that yourself. “Birth” is an album that has so much femininity to it and yet so much power that it blows away many others. This not something you hear all the time, this is a band that needs to be heard for its unique identity and the songs that captivate you with ease. Grant yourself this album!
