The Dreaming Tree – Silver Fade

[schema type=”review” name=”The Dreaming Tree – Silver Fade” description=”Label: Cherry Red Records” author=”Sabine van Gameren” pubdate=”2015-08-27″ ]

The Dreaming Tree is Rock band from United Kingdom. It has been quiet around this band for some years, but they are now back with album number four “Silver Fade”.

“Silver Fade” is an album that is quite mellow. Soft voices, clear and dreamy. With the instrumental the band is giving them vocals, there is not really much stop you from rocking along gently while listening. With their progressive influences they have some nice escapades in the release, but seeing the band’s infosheet speaking about an aggressive edge we must disappoint you, we have not found it. Or maybe we are simply used to a bit more aggression as we are also listening to extremer music as well.
Aggression or not, it is a fact that the band plays around with tempo’s and intensities a bit, making it an album with diversity and keeping you listening. Much needed as the band is giving their fans worth for their money and time by bringing fourteen tracks.

Some songs stand out a bit more than others, but in general this release is one that listens easy, has some catchiness and will entertain also the ones who are looking for some complexity. A fine release.
